A fresh new look to match the produce.

Urban Farming Organics (some call them UFO) grows and delivers fresh produce to restaurants, schools, and individuals living in the Greater Phoenix area. But they bring something unique to the table: They do it with hip-hop swag. I wanted to unite their foundations of – local produce and hip-hop culture in creating a visual identity and website.

Permanent Marker

Cabin Regular

Permanent Marker and it’s raw but friendly aesthetic that reminded me a little bit of graffiti really helped to express the brand of Urban Farming Organics. It conveys the grittiness and character of hip-hop but with the friendliness of a local farmer. Then, it was paired with Cabin Regular, a friendly and straightforward font for the body text. Together, the fonts build a readable experience while injecting UFO’s unique character into the aesthetic.

Colors

The color palette was crafted to bring people back to the roots of Urban Farming Organics – cultivating plants and having fun. The dark green provides a representation of organic matter and the lighter green and yellow inject some exciting energy into the palette.
